Cocoa prices more than doubled in early 2024. It reached chocolate bars with a delay in September, about 18% at K Group.
Cocoa at record pricesJanuary 2025
Cocoa cost more than four times as much as two years earlier. At K Group a bar rose about 10% at the turn of the year.
Chocolate bars shrankAugust 2025
Fazer cut its Sininen bar from 200 g to 180 g and Marabou cut its bars to 160 g. Bar prices did not fall in proportion, so the price per kilo rose about 17% at S Group.
Cocoa prices fell sharplyJanuary 2026
Cocoa fell to about half its peak in late 2025. At S Group bars got about 4% cheaper in early 2026; K Group prices stayed the same.
